Chartfords Trees Limited are committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainability.

All waste hardwood is kept at a secure business yard and seasoned to be re-sold as timber for use in wood burning stoves or on open fires.

All green waste is fed through a Timberwolf chipper creating wood chippings which are kept onsite and matured down to mulch. This product can then be resold for use on garden beds, playgrounds, equine facilities, footpaths and planting.
No waste goes to landfill.

Chartfords Trees works within the guidelines as set by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.

CommunityJames has been involved voluntarily with Master park in Oxted and has been responsible for the sourcing and planting of a number of the new additions. Progress of these new trees can be seen on the park.

Being involved in Master Park and working for the charity also means that Chartfords Trees were responsible for erecting the Christmas lights in the large Tree on the corner of the Park. It makes a nice change to do something a little different and to see people getting into the Christmas spirit.

The team also try to compete each year in the Oxted Pram Race which raises money for a number of local charities. They even made the local paper last time!

James has worked with a number of local schools with the installation of bird and owl boxes using his climbing skills.

On a number of occasions Chartfords Trees have come to the rescue of cats in distress often at dizzying heights.
